Humanitarian Crisis in Marawi
The Philippine Humanitarian Coalition and the US-Philippine Society are asking you to join in an urgent humanitarian effort to provide medical assistance to thousands of families displaced by the ongoing violence in Marawi. We also look forward to your support for the longer term efforts to rebuild housing, schools and the restore livelihoods.
With your assistance, we can help alleviate pain and suffering, and prevent the outbreak of disease in evacuation centers. Over 11,500 pregnant woman evacuees and 7,000 births have been reported. Upper respiratory tract infection and acute respiratory illness, malnutrition, and cases of cholera have been diagnosed among the displaced.
Your donations will support the work of a mobile medical team led by physicians of the Makati Medical Center in partnership with the Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation (PDRF) and the US-Philippines Society. PDRF is an effective and proven non-governmental charitable organization in the Philippines. If you have any questions, please contact Carol Robles, PHC Communications at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Philippine Humanitarian Coalition is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization.
